Description
Ilex Crenata Potted (Green Hedge) Box Leafed Japanese Holly 25-35cm
Ilex Crenata (Green Hedge) also known as Japanese box leafed holly. They have small white flowers in the spring and dark red to black berries in the Autumn. They are a great plant as an alternative to Box Hedging. Happy to be kept at a low height, as well as tall they are fantastic plants for topiary or borders and are resistant to Box Blight. They will grow back from old wood so they are easy to prune back – you can expect around 10-20cm growth per year.

Product Details
Ilex Crenata will grow around 10-20cm per year and will quickly achieve the shape you are looking for. We recommend that you trim these once a year in the late spring.
This is a highly ornamental and showy shrub and will be a delightful addition to any garden
We recommend 5 plants per metre in a double zig-zag row for a thick hedge, but you can get away with 3-4 per metre in a staggered row if you don’t mind waiting an extra year or two to form a thick hedge.
Keep them well watered – especially in the Spring and Summer and in the first year of planting.
Many apologies but due to a change in the DEFRA plant health regulations following Brexit we cannot ship plants to Northern Ireland – we are working on this and hope a solution is found soon!
