The Nordmann Fir is the most popular Christmas Tree and the most expensive. It is known as the non drop Christmas tree because it does not shed its needles when brought into the house, hence it’s popularity. Nordmanns are very slow in the first few years but the growth will rapidly accelerate and they should reach six feet in four or five years.

Like all bare root plants, they can only be supplied during the dormant planting season which runs from the end of October to the end of March but may be ordered at any time of year to ensure your supply as we may run short if demand outstrips supply.

Customers in rural areas may wish to protect their plants from rabbits. Please see our section on rabbit guards or rabbit netting for plantations.

We highly recommend planting with Rootgrow Mycorrhizal gel to ensure that your plants have the best start in life. Rootgrow helps establish a good root system so that your plants are able to absorb all the water and nutrients they need.

Plant at a minimum of 1.2m spacing. On that basis it is possible to plant up to 4000 per acre. so just order the number of packs you need for the hedge length you are after!
